Stan and Ollie take a room at a rundown hotel, where they help a young woman slip away from the shady landlord. Forced to bolt without a cent, Ollie sets up Stan for a boxing match at a nearby hall for a $50 purse. Stan’s rival is Musgy, whose glove hides a weight. When the trick glove is switched out mid-fight, Stan wins—but Ollie, betting on a loss, has already wagered their entire fee.
