Adam Brown

Biography

Adam Brown, born on May 29, 1980, in Hungerford, Berkshire, is a talented English actor and comedian recognized for his memorable roles in film and theater. He gained widespread acclaim for portraying the dwarf Ori in Peter Jackson's acclaimed Hobbit trilogy, as well as for his role as Cremble in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."

Brown's early education took place at John O'Gaunt Community Technology College, after which he pursued a degree in Performing Arts at Middlesex University in London. It was here that he teamed up with Clare Plested to establish the British comedy theater group Plested and Brown. Over the years, he contributed to the writing and performing of all seven productions by the troupe, which include titles like "Carol Smillie Trashed my Room," "The Reconditioned Wife Show," and "The Perfect Wife Roadshow."

A frequent performer at the Edinburgh Festival, Brown has also taken his comedic talents on tour across the UK and internationally, with performances in countries such as Armenia, South Korea, and New Zealand. Within the Plested and Brown ensemble, he has collaborated with notable figures in the theater world, including David Sant, Phelim McDermott, Cal McCrystal, and Toby Wilsher, enriching his artistic journey and contributing to the vibrant landscape of British comedy.
