Biography

Konstantin Khabensky, born on January 11, 1972, is a prominent Russian actor recognized internationally for his captivating performances in the films Night Watch and Day Watch, where he plays the central role of Anton Gorodetsky.

Khabensky hails from St. Petersburg, where he received his theatrical training, and he currently resides in Moscow. Before his breakthrough in the acclaimed -Watch series, he had already established himself as a distinguished actor in both theater and television. The remarkable success of these films significantly elevated his status, making him one of the most celebrated actors in Russia and a familiar name in Western cinema.

His theatrical journey includes significant roles at the Satyricon Theatre in Moscow and the Lensovet Theatre in St. Petersburg. Between 1995 and 1996, he served as a television presenter, focusing on music and informational programming. Since 2003, Khabensky has been a key member of the Moscow Art Theatre, taking on leading roles in productions such as Duck Hunt (as Zilov), Mikhail Bulgakov's White Guard (portraying Alexey Turbin), and Shakespeare's Hamlet. He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute for Theatre, Music and Cinema in 1996, under the tutelage of V. Filshtinsky.
