Dana Charles Reeve was an American actress and singer, best known for her work on stage and screen as well as her advocacy and philanthropic efforts. Born on February 17, 1961, in Teaneck, New Jersey, she pursued a career in the performing arts, earning recognition for her roles in television and theater. She appeared in productions such as "The Vagina Monologues" and performed in regional theater, showcasing her talents as both an actress and a singer.

Dana was married to actor Christopher Reeve, famously known for his portrayal of Superman, and the couple had one son, Will Reeve, who later became a television reporter and anchor. Following Christopher’s life-altering spinal cord injury in 1995, Dana became a dedicated advocate for spinal cord injury research and accessible healthcare. She served as chair of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, continuing their shared mission to find a cure for paralysis.

Dana Reeve passed away on March 6, 2006, at the age of 44, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, compassion, and advocacy. Her contributions to both the arts and humanitarian causes continue to inspire many.
