Biography

Poornima Indrajith is an Indian actress, fashion designer, television anchor, and talk show host known for her work in Malayalam and Tamil films. She launched her career in modeling before hosting the music countdown program *Pepsi Top Ten* on Asianet.

Born on December 13 into a Tamil family based in Kerala, she is the daughter of Mohan, a lawyer, and Shanthi, who operates a dance school. Her younger sister, Priya Mohan, is also an actress. Poornima is married to actor Indrajith Sukumaran, and they have two daughters, one of whom is singer Prarthana Indrajith. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Sukumaran and Mallika Sukumaran, and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is her brother-in-law.

She began as a model and entered acting through the hit Tamil television serial *Kolangal*, followed by appearances in several Malayalam TV serials. She later moved to cinema, taking supporting parts in *Meghamalhar* (2001), *Valliettan* (2000), and *Randam Bhavam* (2001). After a 17-year break, she returned with *Virus*, which was listed among The Hindu's top 25 Malayalam films of the decade.
