Carter Huang Chia-Ta
Biography
Carter Huang Chia-Ta, born in 1947 in Macau, embarked on his martial arts journey at the tender age of eight, immersing himself in the rich traditions of Chinese Kung Fu. His formative training was under a renowned Shaolin Monk and the esteemed Grand Master of Wudang Chi-Kung. Expanding his martial arts repertoire, Carter ventured to Japan, Thailand, and Korea, where he honed his skills in various disciplines, including Karate, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, and Hapkido.
As a distinguished figure in the martial arts community, Grand Master Carter Wong established the International Chung Hop Kuen World Federation. He developed Chung Hop Kuen, a unique martial arts style that synthesizes elements of Chinese Kung Fu with techniques from Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Karate. This innovative approach has garnered a global following, with his style being practiced in numerous countries across the world, including China, the United States, Canada, Australia, and throughout Europe.
Carter's influence extends beyond traditional boundaries, having successfully opened branches in South America and Southeast Asia, representing his martial arts style in a total of 36 countries. His dedication and contributions to martial arts continue to inspire practitioners and enthusiasts around the globe.
