Sidse Babett Knudsen is a renowned Danish actress celebrated for her versatile performances across theatre, television, and film. She made her film debut in 1997 with the improvisational comedy "Let's Get Lost," a role that garnered her both the Robert and Bodil awards for Best Actress, solidifying her reputation in the industry.

Building on her initial acclaim, Knudsen emerged as one of the foremost Danish actresses of her generation. In 2000, she received further recognition with both the Robert and Bodil awards for her captivating performance in the romantic comedy "Den Eneste Ene" (titled "The One and Only" in English). Her talent continued to shine through, culminating in a César Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2016 for her role in "Courted" (French title: "L'Hermine").
