Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is a prominent American actress known for her versatile performances across theatre, film, and television. She began her artistic journey in the early 1990s, making a notable impact on Broadway with her role in Anton Chekhov's classic play, Three Sisters. Tripplehorn transitioned to the silver screen with her breakout performance as a police psychologist in the provocative thriller Basic Instinct, released in 1992.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, she showcased her range in various film projects, including her memorable roles in The Firm (1993), the post-apocalyptic adventure Waterworld (1995), and the romantic drama Sliding Doors (1998).
