Sgt. Major John Frost returns home a month early from deployment, eager to reunite with his wife Jill and son Jimmy. However, he finds them preoccupied and has to adjust to their new addition, a dog named Charlie. Seeking camaraderie, John connects with fellow veterans at the Moose Lodge but soon discovers Hank, a retired Vietnam vet, homeless and recovering from a heart attack. Inspired to make a difference, John mobilizes friends and the community to build a home for veterans, aiming to provide them with a heartwarming Christmas Eve and a fresh start in civilian life.
