Aging mystery novelist Major Palgrave delights in sharing tales with Miss Marple at a Caribbean resort, but his chat takes a dark turn when he hints that a fellow guest is a wife-murdering Bluebeard. Before he can name the culprit, the Major dies—seemingly from a lethal mix of booze and heart pills. When Marple learns the medication wasn’t his and his incriminating photo has vanished, she suspects foul play and knows the killer isn’t finished yet.
