Young 'Sparke' Thorton finds himself in a new home with his Uncle and Aunt Bolt in Indiana after the passing of Aunt Henrietta. Initially resistant to his new life, Sparke's passion for horses, especially a spirited filly he wants to race, helps him adjust.
