Set in 18th century Vienna, Maria Theresia von Paradis, a prodigious pianist and friend of Mozart, faces the challenge of blindness she suffered as a child. Her parents, eager to restore her sight, seek the expertise of Dr. Mesmer, an unconventional physician dedicated to her recovery.
