Sue Ellen Crandell is a carefree teen thrilled by her mother's summer getaway. With a strict babysitter in charge of her wild younger siblings, she plans to enjoy her freedom. However, the sudden death of the babysitter throws a wrench in her plans, leaving the family financially strapped. Determined to help, Sue Ellen concocts a story to land a job in the fashion industry, misrepresenting her age and qualifications.
