Matthew Smitley

Biography

Matthew Smitley, a filmmaker and actor, hails from Kentucky. His short and feature films have screened at numerous festivals across the United States and abroad. On television, he appears as the character Hartman in FX’s series *English Teacher*, now streaming on Hulu.

Smitley is also set to appear in the forthcoming feature *Carolina Caroline*, which stars Samara Weaving, Kyle Gallner, and Kyra Sedgwick.
